How To Link Your Google Plus Page To Your Blog

Linking your blog/website will bring load of visitors tripping to your site whenever you post a new content on your blog. Google Plus in turn share it automatically with your Google Plus friends giving you some free traffic. Isn't this good enough? I believe it is! Connecting your blog to Google Plus helps you connect with your friends, fans, and customers. It provides Google with information to help determine the relevancy of your site to a user query on Google Search. There are two method to get this done; Web Master Linking and Direct Linking.

Web Master Linking
If your website is already verified in Webmaster Tools, then the verified webmaster can approve a request to connect your website to your Google+ page.
To link your Google+ page to your website:

1. Make sure you're using Google+ as your page.
2. Click profile icon Profile on the left
3. On the ‘About’ tab, click the Link website button next to your website URL as seen below:
4. The verified webmaster can confirm the link in Webmaster Tools.
Once the link has been approved, you'll receive and email. You'll also see a checkmark verified checkmark next to your website on the 'About' tab of your page's profile.

Direct Linking
You can directly link your website by inserting a small snippet of code on your website and then listing that website as your Google+ page's primary link in the About section of the profile. For example, if your Google+ page’s primary link is set to www.pagewebsite.com, you can create a bidrectional link by placing

the following code snippet in the <head> tag of the site’s HTML:
 <link href="https://plus.google.com/{Paste Page Id Here}" rel="publisher" />

Note: Redirect URLs should not be used. Only the primary URL for your website should be used.

 4. Follow the steps in the box that appears:

==>  Copy and paste the code snippet provided to the <head>  tag of your website and click the Test website button.
==>  We'll check to make sure you've added the snippet to your website correctly.
==> Click Done when the check is complete.

A verified checkmark checkmark will display next to your website on the 'About' tab of your page's profile. It may take a few days for the checkmark to appear.

Hope It helps! Enjoy and Do share!
