Problem Occurred: How I Back Up My Blogger Blog

Yesterday I was trying to log-in to my gmail account and it was not login-in, I tried and Tried but I was not able to log in. I now have to follow the forget my email prompt to reset my password. I reseted my password quite well, but I never knew It going to affect my Google Associated Account that Link to by blog. Today, when I log-in to my blogger account, I mean the one that is associated the my blod and when I log in, my dashboard was disappeared with a message that your account is not associated with any bog yet.

I now Send A facebook message to my boss @JIde Ogunsanya to see if he can suggest any possible means of getting rid of this problem, but got a slim reply from him saying maybe the Big Boys has removed me from the blog.

I now turn to google to check if similar thing has happen to anyone before, and when I search, I saw a tread here and I follow it, read through everything but was not satisfied, one of the suggestion was that maybe my blog have been associated with another mail, another said mybe I should trying using another browser, whether Google Chrome are Opera. Now I was trying to figure out the gmail that my blog would have been shifted to, I tried and and tried but no way. 

I Now have to follow the second option that says I should Try another Browser and see if it going to work. When I log in to my account with Opera, bingo, blog dashboard looking and me. I screemed, I praise God, Why would my hard work since 2009 go just in one day?.

Because I have never for once backed up my blog, and fear of loosing my blog was about 95% in my hearth, But I thank God I have full access to it now. Although I haven't tried login-in with firefox yet, but I know it's going to work, I will check it after I might have posted this blog. This problems I just faced prompt me to back up my blog so that even If I am loosing my blog or the blog is deleted, I will still have access to it by migrating it to wordpress of so, and I decided to share with you How i backed up my blog. 

How To Backup Posts, Pages and Images On Your Blog? To Backup your website go to Blogger.com >> Settings >> Other >> Export your blog. Now a new window will appear, just select the orange “Download Blog” button and a file will be downloaded which would be in “XML” format. That file possesses all the data and details about your blog including posts, images, and pages. The downloaded file can be used on WordPress, or any other popular platform.

How to Backup Template? If anyone is wondering how to take back up of their template, then he can go to Blogger >> Template >> Backup/Restore. Now press “Download the full template” button and template is successfully backed up. The downloaded file would be in XML format and it cannot be used on any other platform except Blogger.

That’s all, now your blog is successfully backed up. In the future, if your site got deleted, then you can use this back up and can migrate your whole site to WordPress without even losing a single Search engine ranking. By using 301 permanent redirects, we can easily redirect all the traffic to the new self-hosted WordPress site. However, without backup you have to give a kick start to your career once again.
