The Most Impressve Thing in Samsung Galaxy Note 8

You think the exploding Note 7 was enough reason to hate the Note series? Well, after seeing the new Galaxy Note 8, you’d definitely have a rethink.

Design
Weighing 195g, the Galaxy Note 8 comes in at 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.6 mm in dimension. As you would have expected, the Stylus comes in for effective interaction with this finely crafted phablet.

You get a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED curved infinite screen with a 2960 x 1440px resolution and the device currently comes in 4 color variants (Black, Grey, Gold and Blue).

Camera

There are a couple of things that make this device unique from the predecessors. At first glance, you’d notice an additional camera sensor at the rear. Well, Samsung finally decided to join what has been the craze lately as long as smart devices are concerned. The Galaxy Note 8 has both a Telephoto and Wide-Angle lens (12MP f2.4 and 12MP f1.7 respectively), both of which have Optical Image StabilizatProcessor/CPU/OS/Memory.

The Note 8 comes out of the box running Android 7.1.1 Nougat on top of the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor that powers the s8, you get a whooping 64GB Internal storage option for the US market and 128/256GB storage options for the international market. You have the option to expand your device’s memory up to 256GB. More so the RAM has been improved from 4 to 6GB in this iteration.

Ports (I/O)

Talking about the available ports, we have the USB type-C as it’s been the standard lately. For all those music lovers, you’d be amazed as you still have the 3.5mm jack for your wired earbuds.

Miscellanous

As far as security is concerned we have a fast One-Touch fingerprint sensor, Iris Scanner and Samsung KNOX.
The battery packed in with this beast of a device is rated at 3300mAh and can be powered by a USB-C, Fast charging
Qi wireless and Powermat wireless.

What would such an expensive device be classified if it’s not water resistant. Yeah, the Note 8 is IP68 rated and that means you could take notes underwater if you wish.

Is this a device to own for productivity? Obviously. Is it ideal for one-handed usage? I don’t think so, unless you are Incredible Hulk. Do let me know what you think about the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Is this a Hit or Miss in your opinion.
