Review: Samsung Galaxy S4 vs HTC One Which One is Better off?

Which of the android phone do you think is the most popular in the android market today and the most used android that meet up peoples requirements?  A lot of argument  have been heard, most people suggested and argued that HTC One is better off than Samsung Galaxy, while some say Galaxy S4 is better off than HTC One.  Let us now safely say that Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One are the two top most Android phones of the year. HTC One has changed the way the manufacturers would look at the camera technology they use in their phones and the Galaxy S4 is the most popular Android phone of the current year.

The question is which one is better? The answer is hard to find as both are absolutely incredible in terms of their features. But below is a quick comparison for you to decide which one you would like to have for yourself.

Design
Samsung Galaxy S4 – Has a plastic body that is 7.9mm thick and weigh 130g HTC One – Has an aluminium and plastic body that is 9.3mm thick and weigh 143g

In case you were to play a game of mobile phone top trumps, an easy conclusion would be that the Samsung Galaxy S4 wins in a battle of bods as it’s slimmer and lighter than the HTC One.
But when taken in-hand the HTC One doesn’t feel particularly heavy .

What sets the HTC One apart from the Samsung Galaxy S4 is the use of aluminium.
Samsung Galaxy S4 feels a lot like its predecessor and it is impressively slim and light in weight but the use of a plastic battery cover stops from feeling as flashy as an iPhone 5 or HTC One. So it’s a shallow victory for the HTC as the aluminium used in the phone is just as prone to scratches as the plastic of the Samsung.

Samsung Galaxy S4 – The screen is 5-inch ,has 1080p resolution with Super AMOLED screen
HTC One – The screen is 4.7-inch, has 1080p resolution with IPS screen
Here the HTC One shows a slightly smaller display than the Samsung Galaxy S4.
Therefore, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is a teeny bit wider i.e, around 1.5mm than the HTC One but the difference is so small because Samsung aggressively slimmed down the phone’s screen bezel. But not to forget that the HTC has minor handling benefits due to the smaller screen.

These phones use a 1080p-resolution screen panel that offer supremely sharp text and images.

The HTC One uses an IPS screen more like an iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S4,just like its predecessors, comes with an AMOLED-type screen.

Samsung offers colour temperature modes that cool down the colours a little but people generally prefer the natural colours and super-bright maximum setting of the HTC’s IPS screen.

Samsung Galaxy S4 – It has a 16-64GB of storage with a microSD slot HTC One – It has 32/64GB internal memory with no memory card slot

Here Samsung strikes back HTC with storage. A main reason why the Galaxy series has won so many geek points over the years is it continued inclusion of a microSD memory card slot that makes it tremendously easy and cheap to optimize storage capacity. The HTC One sacrifices the memory card slot for its users.
The expandable memory is something to consider pretty seriously if you want to use your phone as your main music player or as a portable video buddy.

Samsung Galaxy S4 –It uses Android 4.2 and TouchWiz HTC One – It uses Android 4.1 and HTC Sense 5

In terms of software, both the phones demonstrate two different approaches as the Samsung Galaxy S4 wants to pack in as many cool-sounding gadgety features as possible while the HTC One is happy to keep things simple for the users.

Like the HTC One offers BlinkFeed as its main interface tweak which is a home screen that shows recent updates including articles and Facebook updates arranged to look slick as they careen down the screen with a flick of your finger. The HTC has also reworked the look of the interface making Sense appear a lot more stark and bold but Samsung hasn’t really altered the look of the TouchWiz UI of the Galaxy S3 for S4.

However it has introduced some new features which include S Health, S Translator ,Smart Scroll and Air Gesture.

Camera
Samsung Galaxy S4 – It has 13-megapixel BSI sensor camera with LED flash having 2MP user-facing sensor

HTC One – It has 4-megapixel UltraPixel sensor camera with LED flash having 2.1MP user-facing sensor
Here the Samsung Galaxy S4 tries to impress with its abundance of features and the HTC one uses a more stripped-back approach.

HINT: It is no doubt quite true that the battle between Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One is a close and fierce fight. One must not forget that the same flexibility benefits which made the previous Galaxy S phones come out on top apply to this new phone as well. But the superbly well-made aluminium body of the HTC One and its better-looking software also win it some serious points.

Despite all the gimmick the Galaxy S4 does have some innovative features to give it an edge over the One in terms of software. The Galaxy S4 is an outstanding smartphone and is currently being enjoyed by tens of millions of people around the world. However , among these and the rest of the Android phones on the market right now, HTC One is in a class by it looks.
