Following the recent outcry and protest against JAMB for the massive failure in this year UTME examinations, the Minister of Education has announced the cut-off mark for the nation’s higher institutions as follows:
1. Universities 180
2. Polytechnics 150
3. Colleges of Education 150
It is not clear yet if all the institutions will abide by this rules as schools such as Uniben, University of Ibadan (UI) and some others have always in the past insisted on Jamb cut off mark of 200.

This she said was after consultations with administrators of tertiary institutions such as Vice- Chancellors, Rectors, Provosts and Registrars.
