Sandboxie is a program that runs any software program in an isolated space which prevents them from making permanent changes to other programs and data in your system. It is able to run any software on a different environment within a space called sandbox, in such a way that no virus can infect your system even if the software is carrying a virus. This software is design for the purpose it serve.

when ever you download any raw file and you want to open it but you are afraid of the content, just right click on the program and you will see "run sandboxed" click on it and it will run your program seperately (with a # sign at the top left of the interface) in a sandboxed environment whatever viruses or threat found on the software will be trapped in the sandboxed environment without penetrating in to your system data base. you can also open your browser with sandboxie and delete your work when you are through, to disable intruders or hackers tracking your online activities.
